Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide personal care services to meet patient needs in Washington, DC. The position requires a DC-specific HHA license and adherence to the plan of care.

Hourly pay starts at 21.11 per hour with competitive benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, an HSA, PTO and a 401(k) plan. Maxim offers weekly paychecks and continued competency training.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification as required by state regulation.
• Complete Maxim screening examinations per company policy.
• Complete Maxim’s competency program.
• Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
• PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living according to the plan of care.
• Take and record vital signs as ordered (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
• Perform safe transfers and ambulation, following safety protocols.
• Support exercise prescribed in the plan of care and perform simple procedural tasks as directed.
• Manage patient laundry and ensure home safety practices are observed.
