Job summary

PurposeCare in Ohio seeks compassionate Home Health Aides to join our growing home health and home care team. You will provide one-on-one support in clients' homes to help with daily living activities and comfort, under supervision of a nurse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved HHA training program, CNA/STNA or 1.5 years caregiving experience.
• HHA certification or equivalent as required by Ohio regulations.
• Basic knowledge of patient care and safety protocols.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and ROM exercises per care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Support medication reminders (not administration).
• Monitor and report patient condition to supervising nurse.
• Take and record basic vital signs when trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe client environment.
• Travel to patient homes across the service area.
• Complete required in-service training, including dementia education.
