Job summary

PurposeCare in Ohio is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides to deliver one-on-one care in patients' homes. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor health, and provide supportive care under supervision. Training and mentorship are available to help you grow in your role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program, CNA certificate, STNA license or 1.5 years of caregiving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and range-of-motion exercises per care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Support medication self-administration through reminders (no independent med administration).
• Monitor and report patient condition and changes to the supervising nurse.
• Take and record basic vital signs when trained and assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment.
• Assist with linens and light client laundry as appropriate.
• Use safety equipment properly (rails, supports, stools, etc.).
• Document care provided according to company and regulatory standards.
• Travel reliably to patient homes and assigned visits across your service area.
• Complete required in-service training, including annual dementia education.
