Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program, CNA certificate, STNA license or 1.5 years of caregiving experience in relevant settings.
• HHA certification or equivalent as required by Ohio rules.
• Basic knowledge of patient care and safety protocols.
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings.

Responsabilités

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and ROM exercises per care plan.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Support medication self-administration through reminders (no independent med admin).
• Monitor and report patient condition and changes to supervising nurse.
• Take and record basic vital signs when trained and assigned.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly client environment.
• Assist with linens and light laundry.
• Use safety equipment properly (rails, supports, stools).
• Document care provided according to standards.
• Travel to patient homes and complete required in-service training, including dementia education.
