Job summary

Always Compassionate Health is hiring a Home Health Aide in Louisiana to follow a Care Plan and support clients in their homes. Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, medication reminders and light errands under supervision.

Candidates must have an approved Home Health Aide certificate, be at least 18 years old, and demonstrate empathy and dependability while building trust with clients and families.

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Must have a Home Health Aide certificate per State requirements with ongoing in-service education.
• Maturity for establishing and maintaining good relationships with clients and agency personnel.
• Sincere interest in caring for the sick and disabled.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy, safe environment with nutritional and environmental support.
• Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, dressing, walking and feeding the client.
• Position the client when instructed by the Nursing Supervisor.
• Assist with treatments and therapy as ordered by the physician and supervisor.
• Remind the client to take medications.
• Assist with payments when authorized and documented on the assignment sheet.
• Run errands when authorized and document daily on the Aide Charting Sheet.
• Report changes in client’s condition to the agency or nursing supervisor as needed.
• Use medical supplies and equipment appropriately; provide emotional support and encourage client independence.
