Job summary

Sunshine Homecare Services seeks dedicated Home Health Aides in New York to join a family-oriented team. You will assist clients with personal care in their homes, support mobility, monitor health indicators, and document progress to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Must complete NYS DOH-approved Home Health Aide training or be enrolled in an approved trainee program under RN supervision.
• Minimum age of 18 years and ability to read and write in English.
• Physical examination meeting NYS Department of Health requirements for Home Health Care Workers.
• Annual submission of compliance documents (physical, TB test, chest x-ray if required, TB questionnaire).
• Two forms of identification and completion of 12 hours of in-service training annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care duties such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and scheduling appointments.
• Support transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises under RN supervision.
• Observe and report vital signs and symptoms as instructed by the Home Care Nurse.
• Record weight, pulse, temperature, respiration, and intake/output as directed.
• Prepare modified diets as ordered by the Home Care Nurse.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and client progress.
• Ensure a safe environment by following asepsis standards and maintaining confidentiality.
