Job summary

Sunshine Homecare Services in New York is seeking Home Health Aides to provide compassionate, in-home care and assist clients with daily activities. You will join a family‑like team and work under Home Care Nurses to ensure client well‑being.

The role requires NYSDOH approved HHA training or supervised trainee program, English literacy, and a physical exam. We offer flexible schedules and benefits including health and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• NYSDOH-approved Home Health Aide training or enrollment in a supervised trainee program under RN supervision.
• Minimum age 18.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Physical examination meeting NYS requirements for Home Health Care Workers.
• Annual submission of compliance documents (physical, TB tests etc.).
• 2 forms of ID.
• 12 hours of in-service training annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care duties such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and scheduling appointments, turning and positioning.
• Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises as directed by Home Care Nurse.
• Observe and report vital signs and symptoms as instructed by Home Care Nurse.
• Record weight, check pulse, temperature, respiration rate, and track intake/output as directed.
• Prepare modified diets as ordered by Home Care Nurse.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and client conditions.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following asepsis standards.
• Maintain client and family confidentiality at all times.
