Job summary

Sunshine Homecare Services is seeking Home Health Aides in New York to provide compassionate in-home care to clients, including personal care and mobility support. You will work under the supervision of a Home Care Nurse and document patient conditions and progress.

We offer a family-oriented team, opportunities for professional development, and flexible scheduling with 4-hour shifts that may be clustered with nearby cases.

Qualifications

• New York State Health Department–approved Home Health Aide training or RN-supervised trainee program.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Physical examination meeting NYS requirements for Home Health Care Workers.
• Annual submission of compliance documents (physical, TB test, etc.).
• Two forms of ID.
• 12 hours of in-service training annually.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care duties such as bathing, grooming, feeding, and scheduling appointments, turning and positioning.
• Support clients with transfers, ambulation, and prescribed exercises as directed by Home Care Nurse.
• Observe and report vital signs and symptoms as instructed by Home Care Nurse.
• Record weight, pulse, temperature, and respiration rate and track food/fluid intake and output as directed.
• Prepare modified diets as ordered by Home Care Nurse.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided, client conditions, and progress.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following asepsis standards and procedures.
• Maintain client and family confidentiality at all times.
