Job summary

Optum is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide compassionate in-home care in Connecticut. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor client condition, and document vital signs while maintaining confidentiality and safety in the home environment.

The role requires a CT 75-hour training, driver’s license, and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days. Flexible hours and independence are valued, with comprehensive benefits offered where eligible.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• CT 75-hour state-approved training program.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminder.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
