Job summary

Avid Health at Home Illinois LLC is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our client care team. You will work under the scheduling supervision of the Client Care Coordinator and clinical supervision of a registered nurse to provide selected personal care services and related home tasks per a physician’s order.

Qualifications

• Current certification/registration with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Current PCA certification.
• CPR preferred and may be required for some clients.
• Bi-lingual – English/Spanish a plus.
• Ability to read, write and carry out directions.

Responsibilities

• Implements and provides day-to-day ADL/IADL support as ordered by physician’s plan and client plan of care.
• Assist with personal care including baths, grooming, dressing.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation.
• Assist with therapy exercises under the direction of a Registered Therapist.
• Plan and prepare meals per dietary requirements; assist with feeding if needed.
• Light housekeeping and laundry; accompany client to appointments.
• Provide companionship and stimulation; document shift details.
• Do not administer medications; remind client for self-administration.
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality; adhere to HIPAA.
