Job summary

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide home care services in the Wilson area. The position supports patients at their residence with a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Scheduled hours include Monday-Wednesday 12 noon–5:00 PM and Friday 1:00 PM–4:00 PM. Excellent pay is offered for a dedicated home health aide who upholds patient privacy and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification with DFS.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Possess effective communication skills to read, write and follow directions.
• Ability to perform physical tasks necessary to treat clients who may include lifting, bending and standing.
• Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care as assigned.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation.
• Provide basic nursing care and prescribed exercises as instructed by supervising RN/PT/OT/SLT.
• Prepare meals with client preferences and special diets.
• Provide companionship and activities as needed.
• Light housekeeping duties as assigned.
• Maintain complete and accurate records as required by agency.
• Record and report changes in client’s condition.
• Complete EVV task for Aide Plan or EVV timesheet as needed.
• Demonstrate dependability by punctual reporting.
• Adapt to client and family value systems.
• Assist independence within client abilities.
• Perform other duties per care plan.
• Follow Plan of Care — Never administer medications.
