Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through Almost Family (LHC Group) and Optum, is seeking a Per Diem Personal Care Assistant in Kentucky to support in-home care. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, hygiene and safety in the client’s home.

Responsibilities include ADLs, transport assistance, medication reminders, and meal prep. Flexible hours and CPR certification preferred; prior home care experience valued. Competitive pay and benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance (or access to reliable transportation)
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet clients' needs

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, denture care and medication reminders
• Assists with household tasks essential to client’s personal care and accompanies clients to medical appointments
• Measures temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered
• Prepares meals according to dietary needs and may assist with feeding
• Provides a clean and safe home environment and uses equipment safely
