Job summary

Personal Care Services MidSouth is seeking a Home Care Aide to provide in-home assistance to clients in their own residences. You will help with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housework, and companionship while following individualized care plans.

The role requires patience, empathy, and the ability to work independently in clients' homes, with responsibilities including transport to appointments and collaboration with supervisors to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Diploma or GED required.
• Certification in Personal Care.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Proper Vehicle Insurance Coverage.
• Internet Accessible Mobile Phone with the ability to download work related apps

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, shaving, ambulation, mouth care, dressing and other activities of daily living.
• Provide companionship and emotional support; encourage social interactions and mind-stimulating activities.
• Ensure client safety and supervise home environment.
• Provide meal planning, basic housekeeping, laundry, and errands as per care plan.
• Transport to medical appointments, shopping and outings as specified.
• Follow care plan; document daily activities and hours of service.
• Attend orientation and care team meetings; communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
