Job summary

Nurse Next Door San Mateo is seeking compassionate Home Care Aide staff to support seniors at home. The role involves following care plans, assisting with daily activities, personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and companionship in clients' residences across California.

Training and background checks are provided to ensure safe, high-quality care. Eligible applicants must be 18+, registered with the CA Home Care Aide Registry, and able to pass a background check and TB testing.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current CA Home Care Aide Registry registration.
• Criminal background check clearance.
• Paid training prior to client care.
• Tuberculosis testing clearance.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care.

Responsibilities

• Follow the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Assist with ADLs within the licensure.
• Aid with personal hygiene and dressing.
• Assist with transfers and ambulation.
• Plan and prepare meals and monitor diets.
• Provide housekeeping, errands and companionship.
• Record all hours worked and report changes to the supervisor.
