Job summary

A Place At Home Towson in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to join our growing team. You will help seniors and individuals age in place, providing personal care and companionship to support independent living.

Responsibilities include bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and coordinating with family and supervisors. Must have flexible hours, reliable transportation, and pass background checks; MD certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as Home Care Aide, CNA, PCA or similar preferred.
• Valid Maryland state certification or eligibility to obtain one is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Compassionate, patient and dependable with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety at home
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
• Assist with medication reminders and daily living activities
• Transport or accompany clients to appointments and errands as needed
