Job summary

Interim HealthCare of North Central Pennsylvania is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver in Sunbury to help seniors live safely at home. You’ll assist with bathing, dressing, meals, and companionship, and have the chance to grow your skills with online training and CEUs.

We offer competitive pay ($12.00–$16.00/hour, experience-based) and benefits including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k), and Aflac.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in PA.
• CPR certification is required.
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.
• Valid PA driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation.
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document condition and notify a supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
