Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is hiring a Full-time Home Care Assistant to support clients in maintaining independence through homecare and personal assistance. Role includes daily living support, light housework, and mobility assistance in the Des Plaines area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; minimum of 1 year in human services or caregiver role preferred.
• Background check clearance required.
• Required training prior to direct service work.

Responsibilities

• Observe client functioning and report changes to supervisor.
• Assist with household chores and daily living activities.
• Assist in errands outside the home (shopping, appointments).
• Assist with personal care and activities of daily living (bathing, grooming).
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and mobility.
• Complete service records and follow the plan of care.
• Maintain professional, respectful conduct with clients and team.
