Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Per Diem Personal Care Assistant I/II to provide environmental and personal care support to clients in their homes in New York. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.

The position offers per diem, hourly pay ranging $13.00–$20.00 based on full-time equivalency, with benefits and eligibility depending on terms.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid NY driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle or public transportation.
• CPR certification is preferred or completed within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of experience in home care is preferred.
• Must complete required training or equivalent exam for NY home health aide services.

Responsibilities

• Provide ADL support including bathing, grooming, meals, and mobility assistance.
• Assist with health tasks, meals, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Use Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) as applicable.
• Transport client to appointments as needed.
• Record vital signs and report observations to supervisor.
• Ensure safe home environment and document progress.
