Job summary

National Health Care Associates' Winship Green in Bath, Maine, is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve appetizing meals while meeting dietary needs for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Safe knife handling skills.
• Experience operating commercial slicers, ovens, grills, large blenders, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions for safe use and upkeep of dietary equipment and service areas.
• Compassionate and empathetic team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals following prescribed menus and dietary requirements.
• Ensure high-quality food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and storage areas.
