Job summary

National Health Care Associates' Winship Green in Bath, Maine, is seeking a Cook to prepare and serve appetizing meals while meeting dietary needs for residents.

You will work with dietary staff to plan menus, ensure food safety, manage kitchen inventory, and maintain cleanliness. Starting pay is USD 19.00 per hour, with benefits and opportunities for growth in a compassionate, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare or long-term care.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Safe knife handling skills.
• Experience operating commercial slicers, ovens, grills, large blenders, etc.
• Ability to follow instructions for safe use and upkeep of dietary equipment and service areas.
• Compassionate and empathetic team player.

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications of a cook include:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience as a Cook, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Safe knife handling skills
• Experience operating commercial slicers, ovens, grills, large blenders, etc.
