Buchanan Group (BGI) is seeking a compassionate Guest Relations Associate to provide exceptional service at funeral homes and centers. This role emphasizes empathy, discretion, and the ability to support families and guests during emotionally sensitive times.

You will greet guests, coordinate seating, assist with floral arrangements and program distribution, and liaise with staff to ensure services run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel and flexible scheduling including weekends.
• Training provided; adherence to company standards.
• Primarily indoors at funeral homes and centers; light lifting up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests with warmth, professionalism, and discretion.
• Provide directions, answer questions, and support grieving families and attendees.
• Monitor service areas to ensure a peaceful and respectful environment.
• Assist with seating, floral arrangements, and program distribution.
• Coordinate service details with funeral home staff.
• Handle guest inquiries with patience and sensitivity in emotional situations.
• Operate basic phones and photocopiers.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties and replenish supplies.
• Attend required training sessions and guest relations meetings.
