Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or enrollment in current high school courses.
• Experience working in the kitchen of institutions that provide meals to large groups is preferred.
• Experience cooking in a Skilled Nursing Facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot and cold meals and beverages according to menus, recipes, and dietary needs.
• Review tray cards for allergies, preferences, and special instructions.
• Assemble meal trays with correct dishware and adaptive equipment.
• Serve meals and assist with delivery to residents.
• Prepare and stock snack carts.
• Clean dishes, utensils, and food prep areas after use.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, staff, and visitors.
• Attend trainings/meetings and support additional assigned tasks.
