Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Removal Associate to support our Dignity Memorial network in Louisville, KY. You will perform removal, transport, and on-site duties with care and professionalism, including interaction with families and coordination with funeral home staff.

Responsibilities include operating company vehicles, maintaining cleanliness, completing necessary paperwork, and entering details into our software.

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
License: Current state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
Experience: At least 1 year as courier/driver with direct customer interaction preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely drives company vehicles for first-call removals of deceased.
Follows chain-of-custody, paperwork, and deceased identification processes.
Cooperates with first responders, coroner, hospital staff, or facility staff and follows their processes.
Interacts with bereaved family members with sensitivity during home removals.
Keeps vehicles clean and performs basic maintenance; ensures readiness for service.
Enters deceased event information into proprietary software per procedures.
Transports caskets to airports, care centers, or funeral homes; assists with moving caskets.
Identifies vehicle issues and reports for repairs; maintains supplies in vehicles.
Follows safety guidelines and expenditure processes.
