Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations and guest services in Mesa, AZ. You will greet families, answer questions, and assist during services and visitations while upholding company policies and a compassionate approach.

Key tasks include preparing service documents, handling office duties, coordinating with management, and supporting transportation and usher duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with the preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit card machine, and more.
• Runs errands for floral deliveries and supplies.
• Serves as an usher; may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials, and funeral services and related setup.
• Greets and assists client families entering the office for information.
