Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by arranging floral items, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes; ensure proper care and storage.
• Prepare service documents related to services, cremations, maintenance, as directed by management.
• Assist with preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Answer phones and perform general office tasks and use a multi-line phone system.
• Run errands for supplies and floral deliveries and other items.
• Serve as an usher and assist with parking and transportation as needed.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family transport.
• Ensure refreshments are available where permitted by law.
• Assist with visitations and funeral services (setup, dressing, casketing, delivering items).
• Greet client families and provide information; accommodate family needs during services.
