Job summary

Service Corporation International in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical support and compassionate customer service for funeral operations. You will greet families, answer questions, coordinate service details and assist with visitations, ceremonies and related tasks across services.

Responsibilities include preparing for services, assisting with remains, and handling office duties while ensuring compliance with company policies and a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services: delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and other keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance.
• Assists with preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting, or crematory operation as allowed by law.
• Office duties: answering phones, operating fax, computer, multiline phone system, debit card machine, typewriter, postage meter and scale, stereo/video system.
• Run errands for floral delivery, supplies, documents.
• Ushers and may park cars or perform transportation duties.
• Operates funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available when allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials, and funeral services (setup, dressing remains, delivering items).
• Greets clients and provides information; supports families during services and visitations.
