Job summary

Service Corporation International in La Feria, TX is seeking a Funeral Attendant to perform a variety of manual and office tasks before, during and after funeral services to ensure events run smoothly.

You will prepare rooms, greet families, assist with the deceased preparation, drive family members when needed, and handle light office duties. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid Texas driver's license; evening and weekend hours are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services.
• May assist with lifting deceased.
• Prepare rooms for services and arrange chairs, tables, flowers, and keepsakes.
• Greet visitors, provide programs, answer questions, and share funeral service information.
• May serve as pallbearer or drive families to cemetery.
• Courteously answer phones and screen callers.
• Data entry of documents into systems.
• Receive deliveries and handle mailroom tasks.
• Transport documents, mementos, and flowers safely to destinations.
• Wash and clean vehicles; fuel as needed.
• Work evenings and weekends.
