Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations in Martinez, GA. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services: setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance.
• Assists with preparation of remains and operation of crematory as permitted by law.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multiline phone system, etc.
• Runs errands for supplies and flowers.
• Acts as usher and may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments are available when allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials, and funeral services.
