Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations at our Austin, TX location. You will assist the public with information on funeral and cremation services, answer phones, and help with service setup and family support.

You will participate in monthly staff meetings and perform duties in accordance with company policies, maintaining compassion and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations.
• Assist public with information on funeral and cremation topics and services.
• Answer phones courteously and manage office tasks and paperwork.
• Prepare for services, including setting up flowers, urns and keepsakes.
• Assist with visitations, services, and transportation as needed.
• Greet families and facilitate information for clients entering the office.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and maintain professional conduct.
