Job summary

Everstory Partners in Michigan is seeking a Sales Counselor to help families navigate funeral service options, including pre-need and at-need merchandise, cemetery services, and related property. You will generate leads from walk-ins, calls, and proactive outreach while building trust, guiding selections, and attending services.

Training pay of $18.00 per hour for 6 weeks is provided. This full-time role requires strong communication, organization, and discretion with a competitive first-year

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required with some additional education preferred in related area such as Business, Marketing, and/or Sales.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle. Offsite appointments will occur in this role including meetings with clients and community events. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel associated with job duties.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Microsoft Excel and Outlook) required.
• Experience working in a CRM (lead management system preferred).
• Strong attention to detail with problem solving skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• This position requires availability to work some holidays, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services and inventory as well as cemetery services, property and merchandise.
• Assist families with funeral selections and attend services.
• Lead generation through walk-ins, inbound calls and proactive prospecting.
