Job summary

Everstory Partners in Burlington, NC, is seeking a Sales Counselor to help individuals and families make thoughtful funeral and cemetery decisions with care and clarity. This full-time, commission-based role involves consultative sales of pre-need and at-need services, building a robust pipeline from inbound leads, referrals, and community outreach, and using HubSpot to track activity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of sales experience preferred (outside sales, B2C, sales consulting, or similar).
• CRM experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems preferred.
• Comfortable in a commission-based, performance-driven environment with prospecting and lead generation.
• Strong sales communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple leads, appointments, and follow-ups.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement may apply.
• Must obtain and maintain state licenses/registrations within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Meet with individuals and families to understand needs and recommend funeral and cemetery products and services.
• Sell pre-need and at-need funeral services, cemetery property, memorialization products, and related merchandise.
• Build and maintain a pipeline through inbound leads, walk-ins, referrals, networking, and community outreach.
• Respond to inbound leads and walk-in opportunities; follow up with prospects throughout the sales process.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers, families, and the local community.
• Explain products, pricing, and options clearly and compassionately; guide purchasing decisions.
