Job summary

Recovery Centers of America seeks a receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff in a healthcare setting. You will help manage admissions and front desk operations, ensuring a calm, safe environment, even when individuals are intoxicated or in withdrawal.

Candidates should have healthcare or behavioral health experience, trauma-informed communication, and the ability to respond calmly in urgent situations, including Narcan administration training.

Qualifications

• Requires prior healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use disorder treatment setting experience.
• Strong trauma-informed communication and operational precision.
• Willingness to handle high-stress, emotionally intense situations and support in urgent care events such as Narcan administration (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, visitors, and guests with empathy and professionalism.
• Facilitate patient admissions, including individuals who may be intoxicated or distressed.
• Administer Narcan (as needed) in emergencies, with training provided.
• Answer and route incoming calls with urgency and clarity.
• Support candidates arriving for interviews and appointments with check-in and directions.
• Manage mail, packages, and deliveries following facility procedures.
• Maintain a tidy, organized front desk and lobby reflecting RCA’s standards.
