Job summary

Harmony Pointe Care Center is seeking a Food & Nutrition Specialist to assist in all food functions, ensuring meals meet established standards and resident needs. You will follow policies, prepare meals, and help maintain a clean dining area under supervision.

Responsibilities include supporting cooks, delivering trays, checking diet trays, serving meals, and maintaining sanitation while adhering to health codes. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8th grade education.
• On-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparing meals; follow portion controls.
• Set up and deliver meal trays and food carts to designated areas.
• Check diet trays before distribution and ensure sanitation.
• Serve food in dining room as instructed and manage meal service timing.
• Ensure supplies for next meal are available and arrange dishes/utensils.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, floors, dishes and utensils.
• Assist with dishwashing and cleaning procedures as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in dining and kitchen areas.
