Focus Health Network is seeking a dedicated Cook to manage food production and ensure safety in our healthcare dining services. You will prepare meals per recipes, follow dietary guidelines, and maintain a clean, compliant kitchen to support residents' wellbeing.

The role emphasizes teamwork with the Dining Services Coordinator and dietary aides to ensure timely service and quality dining experiences for residents, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of food preparation experience in a restaurant, hotel, or healthcare setting.
• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a compassionate attitude toward the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve high-quality meals according to standardized recipes and established menus.
• Dietary Compliance: Follow specific dietary modifications and nutritional guidelines as ordered for residents (e.g., low sodium, mechanical soft).
• Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and adhere to all local health department regulations and food safety standards.
• Inventory Management: Stock, rotate, and date products using "First-In, First-Out" (FIFO) methods.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Dining Services Coordinator and dietary aides to ensure timely meal delivery and service.
