Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Service — CC. The role provides direct and indirect patient care under licensed clinicians, and supports safety and efficient unit operations in a demanding environment.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma/GED, basic medical terminology knowledge, and strong communication to collaborate with patients, families and the interprofessional team. Potential telehealth support with Epic/Vidyo may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care concepts.
• Ability to work within an interprofessional team.
• BLS certification may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Maintains a safe patient care environment and assists with supplies and equipment.
• Conducts patient rounds, responds to call lights promptly.
• May assist with telehealth encounters and use of Epic/Vidyo when needed.
