Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed clinical team. You will support the interprofessional care process and collaborate for telehealth encounters.

Qualifying candidates have a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of medical terminology, and BLS certification. The role requires safety focus, patient advocacy, and strong communication across diverse teams.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs validated and designated direct and indirect patient care activities to meet patient care needs under direction of licensed clinical team members.
• Actively promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Provides assistance in maintaining supplies and equipment available to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds as assigned, anticipates patient needs, and responds to patient call lights promptly.
• May be assigned the role of a virtual safety associate as needed.
