Job summary

Ensign Services is seeking a transportation assistant to support resident mobility and safe travel to medical appointments and activities. The role requires helping residents on and off vehicles, securing wheelchairs, and coordinating with other departments while following HIPAA guidelines.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma and a valid Texas Driver License, with good driving records and knowledge of the local area.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Texas Driver License in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with loading/unloading from facility-approved vehicles.
• Transport residents to medical appointments and other activities.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and buildings/doctor's offices.
• Assist departments with delivery/pick-up of items while maintaining HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain vehicle interiors/exteriors for safe transport and positive community image.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and arrange for scheduled maintenance.
