Job summary

Our House of Cedar City is seeking a devoted driver and companion to support residents with daily activities, appointments, and transportation needs. You will ensure safe transport, assist residents in/out of vehicles, and complete routine administrative tasks as directed by Administration.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, good health, TB testing, and a positive, professional demeanor to deliver a WOW customer experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid driver’s license
• Must be in good health and properly immunized
• Must provide written proof of TB test or obtain within two weeks of hire
• Must be positive and encouraging and motivate residents to participate in activities
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and associates
• Willingness to work with the elderly
• Must be positive and deliver a WOW experience through service
• Performs unpleasant tasks with grace; works cooperatively with supervisors and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments.
• Driving residents to and from appointments and providing needed assistance to and from vehicle and buildings.
• Running errands for community staff as approved by supervisor.
• Responsible to keep inside and outside of vehicles clean at all times.
• Responsible to maintaining and checking vehicle fluid levels.
• Record and complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks for Administrator
• Maintain a good working relationship with all customers; including residents, family members, community, and vendors.
• Will not participate in gossip of any kind.
• Will conduct self professionally.
• Meet or exceed, the standards of appearance; comply with the sanitation rules, hygiene and health standards of community personnel
• And all other duties required by Administration.
