Job summary

Eagle Senior Living in Colorado Springs, CO seeks a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident care per ISP, assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and participate in activities. You will support a safe, respectful environment, document care, and collaborate with nursing staff to deliver high-quality senior care.

This role requires strong communication in English and a patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Nursing Assistant Training Program certificate (approved by the State Board of Nursing) preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification, if required by state regulations.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, and follow written and oral instructions.
• A courteous, friendly, patient, and compassionate approach to working with elderly residents.
• Strong integrity and discretion in handling residents' health information.

Responsibilities

• Follow the individualized service plan (ISP) for each resident; observe changes and report them to the nursing supervisor.
• Check and record vital signs, weights, and other data per state regulations.
• Assist residents with bathing, oral care, toileting, and dressing; perform restorative nursing techniques.
• Provide behavioral prompts, cues, redirection, and supportive assistance as needed.
• Encourage and assist residents in participating in activities; help with transportation to activities.
• Assist residents with transfers and ambulation using proper body mechanics; provide transport for appointments.
• Respond promptly to urgent resident calls.
• Provide backup support to other departments and work as part of the nursing team.
• Keep resident rooms, dining areas, and common spaces clean, orderly, and safe.
• Change bed linens and provide laundry services; requisition and charge supplies.
• Maintain a restraint-free environment and support fall prevention programs.
• Welcome and transfer new residents according to community procedure.
• Attend in-service training and staff meetings.
