Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Caregiver to provide routine daily care to residents with dignity and respect, following the assessment and service plan. You will support residents with activities of daily living and monitor changes in condition in collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, promoting social engagement, observing safety protocols, and reporting concerns to nurses.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and federal requirements for this position.
• Prefer 6 months or more of experience in home care, assisted living, or long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADL) tasks including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and mobility with dignity and respect.
• Assist with moving and transferring residents using safe techniques and equipment as required.
• Communicate incident reports and any observed changes in resident condition to a supervisor promptly.
• Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed.
• Encourage residents to socialize and participate in activities and outings as needed.
• Respond promptly to all resident requests for care and provide assistance as needed.
• Observe emotional conditions and report changes to the nurse.
• Follow infection control practices and safety guidelines; report unsafe situations.
• Check each resident per service schedule to ensure personal care needs are met.
• Assist in safety drills and perform other essential duties as assigned.
