La Causa, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Assistant Teacher I to support classroom instruction, supervise children, and help maintain a safe, nurturing environment in the Early Education and Care Division.

The role is full-time, hourly, with duties including assisting with routines, collaborating with families and staff, and meeting Wisconsin requirements. Salary range is $13.84 to $14.61 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year paid experience working with families and/or paid classroom experience.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred (required for bilingual positions).
• Must complete 25 hours of in-service training on a yearly basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and maintaining a classroom environment that fosters learning and safety.
• Supervise and interact with children while ensuring safety and well-being.
• Support daily routines, communicate with families and program coordinators.
