Job summary

Mount Olivet Rolling Acres (MORA) is a nonprofit that supports adults, seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities. Direct Support Professionals assist with daily living activities, personal cares, and household tasks while maintaining client safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Must pass Department of Human Services background check and maintain qualified status.
• Must not be excluded from government health programs by the Office of Inspector General.
• Must be able to meet company’s physical job demands.
• Must have a valid current driver’s license and vehicle insurance as required by state law.
• Successful completion of Medication Administration class 80% or greater; regularly passes medications using correct procedure.
• Ability to use the computer in alignment with client needs and company procedures.
• At least 1 year of experience with clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Interest in supporting clients with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, and/or mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists clients with daily cares, medical needs and supports (ADLs, mental health).
• Plan and implement recreation, leisure and community activities.
• Drives to/from and accompanies client to appointments and activities using a company vehicle.
• Supports community relationships and facilitates friendships.
• Maintains documentation of medications, treatments and logs accurately and timely.
• Ensures supervision of clients and follows CSSP/CSSP-A plans.
• Reads and follows policies; participates in mandatory training.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA and MORA policies.
