Job summary

ARISE-Exceptional Family Resources in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist a 45-year-old female client with personal goals, safety in the community, and finding activities she enjoys. The role requires active participation, listening, and building a trusting relationship to promote independence.

Hours are part-time with additional hours available. Schedule: Mondays 10a–2p, Wednesdays 10a–2p, and Fridays 11a–2p.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in client’s home and community.
• Valid NY driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist client with personal goals and community activities.
• Help with shopping, appointments, and errands.
• Support safety, independence, and daily living in home and community.
• Communicate effectively with client and agency staff.
