ARISE-Exceptional Family Resources in Johnson City, NY seeks a part-time Direct Support Professional to provide self-direction services for a young adult. The role focuses on independent living, communication, social skills, and community integration through arts, activities, and daily living tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide Community Habilitation and Respite to develop independent living, communication, social, and community integration skills.
• Support participation in recreational, educational, creative, and community-based activities.
• Encourage development of communication skills, self-advocacy, and money management.
• Assist with meal preparation, household chores, laundry, and budgeting.
• Provide transportation to approved community activities and outings.
• Collaborate with family and support team to promote consistency and progress toward person-centered goals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow agency guidelines.
