Job summary

In Flight, Inc in Great Barrington, MA seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with IDD in residential settings. You will support daily living activities, nutrition, safety, and community integration while following care plans and agency policies.

We offer flexible shifts including weekends, with pay between $20.25 and $22.75 per hour for 30–40 hour weeks, and comprehensive benefits for eligible positions. Certification and driver eligibility required within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be med certified and driver eligible within the first 90 days to keep the $20.25 rate.
• Pass NYS and OPWDD background clearances.
• Attend In Flight Orientation located in Red Hook.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety and well-being of people in the program.
• Complete Residential Habilitation documentation in a timely fashion and ensure implementation of staff service actions.
• Provides nutritious, balanced meals based on the house menu. Encourage and assist individuals to participate in shopping and food preparation.
• Complete daily routines regarding chores, housekeeping, maintenance of ADL kits, and active treatment.
• Implement community integration and involvement based on the Residential Habilitation plans.
• Ensure residence is maintained with high cleanliness and respect for residents.
• Address all crisis situations and medical emergencies per policy.
• Provide transportation to medical appointments and activities.
• Perform other duties as requested by supervisor and/or Executive Director.
