Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Somerset, PA to provide compassionate caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence and confidence.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Attend ongoing training and professional development.
• Interact with families, case managers, and Abound team members as needed.
