Help at Home is seeking caring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with I/DD in their homes and communities in Greenwood, MS. You will provide one-on-one support, teach daily living activities, and promote independence and self-advocacy.

The role emphasizes dignity, choice, and community participation, with training provided and opportunities for career growth. Flexible scheduling and weekly pay enhance work-life balance.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background check and required training.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, either primary or secondary coverage.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in individuals’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsabilidades

• Help individuals develop daily living skills, including cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care activities.
• Provide hands-on assistance based on individual needs while encouraging independence.
• Provide transportation and support participation in shopping, social events, and community activities.
• Help individuals work toward personal goals and recognize their progress.
• Promote personal choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
