Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Matthews, NC to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. Starting pay $15.40/hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments for 20+ hours/week, plus comprehensive benefits and paid training.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and reliable care with individuals with IDD.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families and team members.
• Able to document progress and schedules accurately.
• Willingness to learn and complete trainings.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and help individuals achieve personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal prep, hygiene and housekeeping.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
