Job summary
Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Clayton, NC. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.
This role offers flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding & training, and opportunities for growth.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
- Paid onboarding and training provided; prior IDD experience not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support to build independence and confidence.
- Assist with daily living activities such as meals and hygiene.
- Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
- Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
- Encourage independence and skill development.
- Monitor health and safety in a supportive environment.
- Communicate with team, families, and case managers as needed.
- Complete documentation and maintain schedules; pursue ongoing training.
