Job summary

Primus Health seeks a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support two highly functional adults with developmental disabilities who maintain active employment. On-site role in Maryland with a Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule and a $21.00 hourly pay.

Ideal candidate will be patient, respectful, and capable of building positive, supportive relationships while maintaining professional conduct in all situations. A valid Maryland driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of DSP experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Drive individuals to medical appointments, work, recreational activities, and other community destinations.
• Provide person-centered support with daily routines and independent living skills.
• Help with household responsibilities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and organization.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
• Promote participation in social, educational, and recreational opportunities.
• Utilize positive behavior support techniques to encourage appropriate behaviors and address challenges.
• Complete accurate documentation, including daily service notes, medication records, and incident reports.
• Monitor the health, safety, and overall well-being of the individuals receiving services.
• Communicate any concerns, incidents, or changes in condition promptly to supervisors.
